Richmond Park Boat House creates the perfect location to row down the river under the Richmond Bridge, for a picnic or a bicycle ride. Surrounded by a walkway along the riverbank, Baroque style Renaissance for nobility and showplace for people to meet and interact within a contemporary version of the quintessential English/French traditions, the baroque style is the creation of multiple spaces for people to gather within the parkland.
Drawing upon the opulence and charm of 17th century French baroque style making this the perfect intimate entertaining and relaxation space, both comfortable and inviting bringing the old- world Parisian charm to the setting, for rowing along the river or enjoying Gourmet delicacies, with romantic outdoor picnics or old school charm of riding a bicycle discovering the village.

The classic built Clinker Dinghy, Avon Dreamer, was designed by Jeff Gittus in the traditional way. The boats exude old style charm, class and character and were built here in Tasmania. They are clear stained timber with chromed Row Locks complimenting the perfect setting of our beautiful Coal River at Richmond. Even the most inexperienced rower will find rowing and Avon Dreamer on the Coal River a memorable and enjoyable experience. The Avon dreamer comfortably seats two adults with the perfect place for a Gourmet picnic and a beverage of choice to enjoy while you are curcumb to the picturesque settings that provide the perfect location for a magical experience. Or take a family of two adults and two children for a Coal River/ Richmond Bridge row boat experience.
Our classic vintage picnic bicycles are beautifully designed and perfectly suited to urban cycling and country lanes. These georgeous vintage picnic bicycles provide gentle exercise (with emphasis on ‘gentle’ no athletic skills required) for enjoyable commutes in and around historic Richmond town, a great way to see the sights and enjoy your visit (they also make their riders look very cool and fashionable whilst riding them!).
Complete with flowers on the handlebars, picnic basket and blanket on the back shelf – riding through the Richmond countryside on a sunny day commuting to the best picnic spot in the valley will be an absolute pleasure.

Our picnics in the park are quickly becoming one of Richmond’s best ways to relax on the green or sit by the Coal River and enjoy fine food and wine with someone special.
