Tassie Made: Confectionery

Federation Apple Chocolate

Federation Chocolate at Taranna, Tas, has only been producing its handmade chocolates since 2004, but has already become a ‘must-see’ for travellers touring the Tasman Peninsula. At the factory there is a heritage museum which celebrates the Tasman Peninsula’s convict history. Visitors can also watch the chocolate being made through viewing windows, but the highlight of any visit is to sample the more unusual varieties on offer, like brandied apricot, coffee almond, orange seville, liquorice and apple.
